Election Info
The Primary Election Day is Tuesday August 11th. The General Election is Tuesday, November 3rd. We want to be sure that voters have all the info needed to cast their ballots. For information on how to vote and what is on the ballot in your district, visit the Secretary of State's website: www.sos.state.mn.us/elections-voting/
Early Voting:
All Blue Earth County voters may vote early in person at:
- Blue Earth County Historic Courthouse - 204 S 5th Street in Mankato
In-Person early voting is available during the following times:
- During normal office hours (8:00 am to 4:30 pm) beginning 46 days before the election
- The Saturday before the election from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
- The Monday before the election until 5:00 pm
- Before statewide general elections (November 3, 2026), in person voting is also available from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm the second to last Saturday before the election and the last Sunday before the election.
Absentee Ballots: If you have requested and received a mail ballot, you will need to turn that into Blue Earth County (Old Historic Courthouse). Voted ballots may be dropped off by the voter. This can be done up to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. The voter must be able to prove their identity to verify they are dropping off their own ballot. Voted ballots may be dropped off by an agent of the voter. The agent must be at least 18 years old, must bring in a photo ID, and will complete a short form documenting the delivery of the ballot.
Election Day Voting: The polls in Madison Lake will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Residents that live within city limits will vote at City Hall in the Community Room, located at 525 Main Street.
