Full-Time Police Department – Madison Lake Police Department

Job Description: The Madison Lake Police Department is excited to announce that we are hiring a full time Police Officer. This opening has been created due to a Federally Funded Grant. Paid Time Off Accrual Rates of 0-5 years 80 hrs; 6-10 years 120 hrs; 10-14 years 160 hrs; 15+ years 200 hrs. All employees also accumulate 100 hours of sick time per year. All uniforms and equipment are covered at city expense. The City of Madison Lake offers competitive health insurance benefit through with 100% employee coverage. 2024 minimum starting wage is $28/hr depending on qualifications. Eleven paid holidays per year, 1 floating holiday, and eligibility for comp time. Minimum qualifications include; Associate of Arts degree or higher in Law Enforcement concentration, POST License or eligible at time of hire, MN EMSRB First Responder Certification. Lateral hires will be considered and negotiated based on experience and qualifications with the possibility of preloaded vacation and lateral step starting wage.
